Our Arau - KL Central ETS adventure

Image
We decided to take the ETS just so that the kids could experience a train ride. I thought it would be nicer than a bus because the kids could move around. We took a train from Arau and stopped at KL Central. From there, we took the KTM commuter service to Seremban.  My kids couldn't sit still so I took them to explore the length of the train.  The cafe coach offers a number of microwaveable selections that my kids like.  I ordered chicken lasagna. After I was full of lasagna, almost midway through the trip the train staff distributed free meals, biscuits and soy drinks, that my kids like very much. We didn't get much photo opportunity, we had our hands full with the kids.

I always have a notebook with me whereever I go since forever. Now, I have to choose between a diaper or a notebook 😅

Pantai Rangbulan trip

Image
There is no excuse other than absent mindedness and poor planning for not updating this blog. A lot of things have happened at work and at home, maybe I will share at some other time. Today, I am writing about Pantai Rangbulan, a private beach near the Usukan Cove in Kota Belud, Sabah. I have been there a few times but this is the first time we spent the night. It's a very quaint place, maintained and operated by a family that owns the land.  Evening walk along the beach. The owner is a very hands-on kind of guy. He took my cousin & my brother to snorkel. Snorkelling sites are marked. You could alao rent a kayak or go for a ride on a banana boat.  I was seated on the beach and you can see our lodging from here. This is our room. My aunt chose this place because its the only one with ensuite bathroom. Other lodgings have their bathroom located outside.  This is the view from our door. Go down the steps and the beach is liter

Gunung Jerai

I was supposed to write a post about our Gunung Jerai trip right after that, shouldn't I?? Well, this is just one photo that I have available right now. This place is unbelievably beautiful. As you see in the photos, Hydrangeas are blooming everywhere in the resort. The Hydrangeas are the main attraction and I was tempted to go here because of the flowers. My sister went to Jerai a few times for work and she sent me her photos. The first time I saw Jerai was on a TV program in 2012 if I'm not mistaken. The hydrangeas made me oohed and aahed and I was saying "lets' go, let's go" to my sisters. I have not had the opportunity nor the time to go there until last Dec. We spent two nights there, which is good because we really get to relax and enjoy all the facilities. They have a nice restaurant and a game room, sports complex of sorts and activities such as archery. If you're in the civil service, ask for discounts when booking. If you like natur
